Felony terroristic threats

On Sept. 12 at 4:49 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of terroristic threats. Paul Gregory Piche, 30, Thief River Falls, has been charged with felony terroristic threats. He was arrested. Piche allegedly called his uncle and said that if Piche didn’t have his car by morning, the man would have to tell his sister/Piche’s mom goodbye since she would be dead by morning. He said Piche’s car had been hidden. Earlier, Piche told him that Piche had helped put a man in prison. The uncle reported that Piche hadn’t been himself for two to three weeks and seemed to be getting worse every day, according to the complaint. He said Piche told him that Piche wasn’t worried about law enforcement because he knew how to handle them. The complaint indicated that Piche had made threats to an ex-girlfriend earlier in the week.

Terroristic threats

On Sept. 10 at 10:49 p.m., police received a report of terroristic threats. Paul Gregory Piche, 30, Thief River Falls, has charges pending for terroristic threats. He was arrested. Piche allegedly called a woman, who then feared for her safety.

Fifth degree controlled substance crime, theft and trespassing

On Sept. 13 at 5:37 a.m., police received a report of suspicious people at Walmart. A store employee reported that it seemed like they were planning to push a cart of merchandise out of the store without paying for it. Simon Louis Rogers, 42, Morton, has charges pending for fifth degree controlled substance crime and theft. He allegedly possessed methamphetamine. Caden Henry Keezer, 18, and Liza Marie Mason, 42, both of Naytahwaush, have been cited for theft and trespassing. The report doesn’t list the dollar amount of the theft.

 Fleeing a peace officer and giving a false name to a peace officer

On Sept. 14 at 1:59 a.m., police received a report of a possible theft at Walmart. Amber May Sayers, 33, St. Paul, has charges pending for fleeing a peace officer and giving a false name to a peace officer. Wayne Lee Stillday, 32, Red Lake, has charges pending for giving a false name to a peace officer. While investigating, police located the suspect vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. They spoke with Sayers, who allegedly gave a false name and then fled in a vehicle. Stillday also gave a false name to police.

Burglary

On Sept. 16 at 1:24 a.m., police received a report of a burglary at 624 Knight Ave. N. Dale Matthew Rystad, 29, Thief River Falls, has charges pending for burglary. He was arrested. A woman reported that Rystad, whom she didn’t know, was allegedly in her house and seemed to be out of it.

 

Attempted arson

On Sept. 10 at 12:36 p.m., police received a report that it appeared someone had tried to start a fire under the slide at Northrop Park.

Driving while impaired

On Sept. 10 at 2:54 a.m., police performed a traffic stop in the 17100 block of U.S. Hwy. 59 N.E. Isaac Chester Carlson, 25, Thief River Falls, has been cited for DWI.

Littering

On Sept. 10 at 3:41 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of littering in the 10300 block of 180th St. N.E. Catherine Joyce Alcozer, 29, Thief River Falls, has been cited for littering. She allegedly dumped garbage in a ditch.

Speeding, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and open bottle

On Sept. 10 at 8:15 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Greenwood Street and Barzen Avenue. Hunter Adam Audette, 20, Viking, has been cited for speeding, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and open bottle.

Theft

On Sept. 11 at 1:12 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a theft at the St. Hilaire City Park. Jason Edward Grindeland, 30, Goodridge, has been cited for theft. He allegedly stayed in the campground for two weeks and left without paying.

Theft

On Sept. 12 at 9:10 a.m., police received a report of a theft at 321 State Ave. N. Someone had stolen some alcohol and phone chargers out of a garage.
