Warrant apprehension, felony first degree controlled substance crime, felony fifth degree controlled substance crime, fourth degree driving while impaired and no proof of insurance
On Sept. 4 at 1:09 p.m., police received a report from a Marshall County sheriff’s deputy that a man had just placed a red bag in his trunk and was traveling south on Highway 59 after leaving Newfolden. The officer also learned from dispatch that Douglas Knute Reierson, 34, Goodridge, had a felony warrant issued for his arrest. The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Highway 59 and 180th Street Northeast. Reierson has been charged with one count of felony first degree controlled substance crime, two counts of felony fifth degree controlled substance crime, fourth degree DWI and no proof of insurance. He was arrested on the warrant and the above charges. The complaint alleges that Reierson was unable to provide proof of insurance for the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle was towed and an inventory search was completed. Inside, police allegedly found 0.25 grams of methamphetamine, six patches of Suboxone and two Clonazepam pills. Reierson admitted using meth Sept. 3. Police were granted a search warrant to obtain blood from Reierson due to that admission.
Felony fifth degree controlled substance crime, gross misdemeanor fifth degree controlled substance crime and possession of a small amount of marijuana
On Sept. 2 at 5:45 p.m., police saw a man wanted on a warrant at Erl’s Market. Aaron Daniel Zimmerman, 39, Thief River Falls, has been charged with two felony counts of fifth degree controlled substance crime, one gross misdemeanor count of fifth degree controlled substance crime and one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested. Zimmerman allegedly possessed hydrocodone without a prescription as well as 0.25 grams of meth and 0.25 grams of cocaine.
Felony depriving another of custodial parenting rights
On Sept. 3, police received a report that a woman was allegedly not complying with an Anoka County court order involving parenting time. Stacy Diane Czapiewski, 39, Thief River Falls, has been charged with felony depriving another of custodial parenting rights. She was arrested. Two weeks earlier, police received a similar report and gave Czapiewski 72 hours to comply. She complied within that time frame, according to the complaint. After this latest incident, she was given 24 hours. However, at about 5:42 p.m. Sept. 4, police again received a report that Czapiewski wasn’t complying. They learned that the child would be in a vehicle traveling in Thief River Falls. The car was stopped in the 600 block of Knight Ave. N. At that time, Czapiewski was arrested and the child was returned to the father.
On Sept. 8 at 2:33 a.m., police received a report of a vehicle theft in the public parking lot between Sjoberg’s Cable and K & J Treasures. Someone had stolen a blue 2002 Ford Taurus with a license plate of 499-VRA. The car belongs to a Thief River Falls woman.
On Sept. 1 at 9:36 p.m., police received a report of property damage in an apartment building parking lot at 1236 Edgewood Dr. It appeared that someone had shot a vehicle windshield with a BB gun.
On Sept. 2 at 10:40 p.m., police received a report of a fight in the 300 block of Red Lake Blvd. Thief River Falls residents Julian Rubio Hernandez, 25; Jose Alberto Rubio Silva, 23; and Jorge Galvan Villa, 53, have been cited for disorderly conduct.
Second degree driving while impaired
On Sept. 3 at 1:18 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Greenwood Street and Brooks Avenue. Christopher John Peterson, 24, Red Lake Falls, has charges pending for second degree DWI. He was arrested and later released when he was sober.
Accident and failure to yield
On Sept. 4 at 7:41 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the intersection of Third Street and Markley Avenue. At the time of the accident, Brian Keith Timm of Newfolden was driving a 2005 Buick LeSabre eastbound on Third Street. According to the report, he turned north onto Markley Avenue. His car was then struck by a westbound 2013 Chevy Equinox driven by Meranda K. Anderson of Badger. No injuries were reported. Timm has been cited for failure to yield.
On Sept. 5 at 12:10 p.m., police received a report of vandalism at Chief Red Robe Park. Someone had spray-painted vulgar language in the bathroom.
Trespassing and underage consumption
On Sept. 7 at 2:41 a.m., police received a report of trespassing at the former campus of Sanford Medical Center. Patrick Michael Hall, 22, Cabot, Ark., has been cited for trespassing. Adam Lawrence Bill, 20, Larimore, N.D., has been cited for trespassing and underage consumption.
On Sept. 7 at 10:09 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a burglary at Express Meats. Someone had stolen cases of juice belonging to the Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf.
