Felony fifth degree controlled substance crime and gross misdemeanor fifth degree controlled substance crime
On April 27 at 7:25 p.m., police, the sheriff’s office and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office conducted simultaneous search warrants at two apartments at 613 LaBree Ave. N. Four Thief River Falls residents have been charged. Barbara Ann Mennen, 53, has been charged with felony fifth degree controlled substance crime and gross misdemeanor fifth degree controlled substance crime. Meghan Semrud, 31, has been charged with felony fifth degree controlled substance crime. Kimberly Joyce Auginash, 33, and Robert Roger Mills, 44, have both been charged with gross misdemeanor fifth degree controlled substance crime. With the exception of Mills, all were arrested. The charges stemmed from information provided by a confidential, reliable informant, according to the complaint. Mennen allegedly possessed clonazepam, drug paraphernalia and a glass pipe containing suspected methamphetamine residue. The complaint indicated that she is currently on probation for a drug-related offense. Semrud was attempting to leave Mennen’s apartment with a child at the time of the search warrant. She allegedly possessed a bag containing suspected meth. The bag and meth weighed about 1.2 grams. In Auginash and Mills’ apartment, law enforcement allegedly found drug paraphernalia and plastic gram baggies. Suspected meth residue was found in the bags. Auginash also possessed 15 Lidocaine patches and some hypodermic needles. The latter items bore a relative’s name.
On April 23 at 1:53 p.m., police received a report of an accident in the parking lot of Erl’s Market. At the time of the accident, Delray Sannes of Newfolden was driving a 2016 vehicle into the parking lot. According to the report, he stepped on the brake and the vehicle accelerated, causing the vehicle to crash into the ice machine. Sannes told police that this is the second time his vehicle has performed in this manner. No injuries were reported.
On April 23 at 11:22 p.m., police received a report of vandalism outside of 1218 Sunset St. Someone had slashed two tires on a vehicle.
On April 24 at 11:58 a.m., police received a report of property damage in the municipal parking lot south of the post office. Someone had damaged a parked vehicle belonging to a Thief River Falls man.
Accident, failure to yield and instruction permit violation
On April 24 at 4:28 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the intersection of Fifth Street and State Avenue. At the time of the accident, James Michael Morin of Goodridge was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse eastbound on Fifth Street, and Shirley A. Stanina of Thief River Falls was driving a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville northbound on State Avenue. The cars collided in the intersection. Morin has been cited for failure to yield and an instruction permit violation.
Domestic assault and disorderly conduct
On April 24 at 8:25 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a domestic assault in the 18200 block of 137th St. N.E. Kyle Allen Larson, 31, Thief River Falls, has charges pending for domestic assault and disorderly conduct. He was arrested. Larson allegedly screamed at a woman and pushed her to the floor.
On April 27 at 12:58 p.m., police received a report of property damage in the Digi-Key parking lot. A window had been broken on a vehicle belonging to a Thief River Falls man.
Third degree driving while impaired
On April 29 at 1:38 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Third Street and Tindolph Avenue. Bradley D. Stenvik, 52, Whitewater, Mont., has charges pending for third degree DWI. He was arrested.
On April 29 at 5:53 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report that a man was threatening to fight and was becoming more aggressive at a home in the 14000 block of Riverbend Trail. Gabriel Adam Lillestol, 30, Thief River Falls, has been cited for domestic assault. He was arrested.
