Accident and failure to yield

On Nov. 11 at 4:17 p.m., police received a report of an accident near the intersection of Third Street and Knight Avenue. At the time of the accident, Mason Maxwell Wehse of Fargo, N.D., was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion in an alleyway between Knight and Duluth avenues. According to the report, he then drove out of the alley, colliding with a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Janet Myers of Thief River Falls. Myers was driving on Third Street at the time. Wehse’s passenger, Savannah Franklin of Fargo, suffered chest pain. She was transported to Sanford Medical Center. Wehse has been cited for failure to yield.

Accident

On Nov. 16 at 12:56 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of an accident near the intersection of 110th Avenue Northeast and 150th Street Northeast. At the time of the accident, Brigham Drevlow of Thief River Falls was driving a 1999 Dodge Dakota southbound on 110th Avenue Northeast. According to the report, he overcorrected and the pickup truck rolled in a ditch. It was unknown if Drevlow or his passengers, Thief River Falls residents Desirae Yonke or Shyanne Lerol, suffered any injuries.

Felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and third degree refusal to submit to a chemical test

On Nov. 11 at about 11:11 p.m., police received a report that a man was stumbling “all over” at Hugo’s and had left in a vehicle. Steven Lane Bollman, 47, Thief River Falls, has been charged with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and third degree refusal to submit to a chemical test. Bollman was arrested. Police saw the suspect vehicle at Pennington Square and a man matching the description provided by staff. Police began following the man, who was later identified as Bollman. After Bollman allegedly hit a curb on Markley Avenue and fishtailed, police attempted to pull him over. However, he kept driving. Bollman failed to stop at a stop sign at Third Street and Markley Avenue, and a stop sign at Eighth Street and Davis Avenue. The vehicle was also fishtailing. On Eighth Street, he drove onto a curb after a wide turn. Bollman signaled two separate turns, never turning in those directions. At Chief Red Robe Park, he made a sharp U-turn, causing his vehicle to get stuck in a snowbank in the 700 block of Eighth St. E. Bollman continued to try to get the vehicle out of the snowbank until he was ordered out of the vehicle. A police officer took him down to the ground after he got out of the vehicle and began walking toward police. Bollman had a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech. He thought police were trying to pull over another vehicle. After not following an officer’s instructions for a field sobriety test, Bollman allegedly said he wasn’t going to complete any more tests. After attempting to contact an attorney for more than half an hour, Bollman refused a breath test. Several times, he told an officer that it didn’t matter since he was “screwed anyway.”

Fifth degree controlled substance crime, expired registration and possession of drug paraphernalia

On Nov. 17 at 10:57 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Greenwood Street and Highway 59. Mandi Lynn Olberg, 37, Thief River Falls, has been charged with fifth degree controlled substance crime, expired registration and possession of drug paraphernalia. Leanne Marie Brown, 40, Cass Lake, has been charged with fifth degree controlled substance crime. They were arrested. Olberg and Brown allegedly possessed methamphetamine.

 

 

 

 

 

Possession of a stolen vehicle

On Nov. 19 at 5:39 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report that an abandoned vehicle was parked on the road near the intersection of Center Street and 310th Avenue Northeast. The vehicle was later located at a Goodridge residence and determined to be stolen. Daniel Adam Sevigny, 45, Erskine, has charges pending for possession of stolen property. He
was arrested.

Theft

On Nov. 18 at 9:03 a.m., police received a report of a theft at 511 Horace Ave. N. Someone had stolen a Taurus G2 9millimeter pistol and license tabs for a 2011 Dodge Durango.

Burglary and criminal damage to property damage

On Nov. 18 at 6:52 a.m., police received a report of a burglary at an apartment at 416 Main Ave. N. Stetson Cody Ewalt, 28, Thief River Falls, has charges pending for burglary and criminal damage to property. He was arrested. The tenant called police, saying Ewalt was allegedly inside her apartment and causing damage when she wasn’t at home.

Third degree driving while impaired

On Nov. 9 at 10:37 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Horace Avenue and First Street. Constance Marie Koppenhaver, 43, Thief River Falls, has been charged with third degree DWI. She was arrested and later released.

Theft

On Nov. 13 at 3:27 p.m., police received a report of a theft at 709 First St. W. Someone had stolen a snowblower.

Violation of a harassment/restraining order and no proof of insurance

On Nov. 14 at 4:12 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Fourth Street and State Avenue. Nicole Ann Olson, 35, Thief River Falls, has charges pending for violation of a harassment/restraining order. She was arrested. Keith Paul Lindholm, 51, Thief River Falls, has been cited for no proof of insurance. Olson allegedly conversed with Lindholm, who was driving. A harassment/restraining order is in place between the two of them.

Theft

On Nov. 14 at 5 p.m., police received a report of a theft at 1230 Meadow St. Someone had stolen a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus phone.

DWI

On Nov. 16 at 4:25 a.m., police received a report that it appeared a driver was passed out inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Pennington Main. Michael Charles Roberts, 21, Redby, has charges pending for DWI. He was arrested.

Third degree DWI

On Nov. 16 at 9:57 p.m., police received a report that a vehicle was rear-ended in the drive-through at Taco John’s. Kristy Marie Anderson, 43, Thief River Falls, has charges pending for third degree DWI. She was arrested.

Property damage

On Nov. 17 at 3:59 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of property damage at St. Hilaire Supply. Someone had damaged a plastic septic tank.

DWI

On Nov. 18 at 3:05 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Avenue and Second Street. Raquel Lynn Trinciante, 40, Thief River Falls, has been cited for DWI.

Accident

On Nov. 19 at 12:39 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of an accident at the intersection of Center Street West and Pembina Trail. At the time of the accident, Mark D. Lee of Plummer was driving a 2001 Dodge Dakota south bound on Pembina Trail. At the time, he was pulling a trailer. The trailer didn’t completely clear the intersection with Center Street and was then struck by a 1998 Mercury Sable driven by Emma G. Harvang of Newport. No injuries were reported.

Accident and failure to yield

On Nov. 19 at 3:59 p.m., police received a report of an accident near the intersection of Main Avenue and Ninth Street. At the time of the accident, Tyler Thomas Renfroe of Tolna, N.D., was driving a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass. According to the report, he then drove into the path of a 2003 Ford Expedition driven by Aaron Wedul of Thief River Falls. Wedul was driving southbound on Main Avenue at the time. No injuries were reported. Renfroe has been cited for failure to yield.
